Ph.D. student Rishika Maji received the Best Poster Presentation Award at the 8th International Conference on Translational Research, themed “Bridging Discoveries to Solutions: Advancing Translational Research” for her poster entitled "Understanding the role of structural variations in the genome of women delivering preterm"

Ph.D. student Piyali Mondal received the 3rd Best Oral Presentation Award at the International Conference on ReproNext: Emerging Horizons in Reproductive Health Research and 42nd Annual Meeting of the Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology (SRBCE -2025) for her talk entitled "Gene Expression Programs and Alternate Splicing in Placental Cell States Reveal Novel Underpinnings of Preterm Birth"


Ph.D. student Divyank Varshney received the 3rd Best Oral Presentation Award at the 7th Annual Conference of the Calcutta Consortium of Human Genetics for his talk entitled "7th Annual Conference of the Calcutta Consortium of Human Genetics"
Ph.D. student Arunima Acharya received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 44th Anual Meeting of the Indian Association for Cancer Research (IACR) and International Conference on "Convergence of Fundamental and Translational Approaches in Cancer Theranostics" for her talk entitled "Single-cell and Bulk Transcriptomics Reveal Novel Malignant Cell Dynamics in Oral Tumor Ecosystem of Patients with Oral Submucous Fibrosis"


Dr. Esha Bhattacharjee received the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 6th Genomics Analysis and Technology Conference, 2025 for her talk entitled "Genomic Alterations Regulate Transcriptomic Programs in Placental Cell States in Preterm Delivery"
Prof. Arindam Maitra delivered a lecture on "Gene Expression Mileu of Immune Cells Reveals Novel Insights in Human Health: The “Enterprise Exploration” at the 1st symposium on Emerging Frontiers of Biotechnology, organized by Jadavpur University, Kolkata on 30th January, 2025.


Prof. Arindam Maitra delivered a lecture on "Born Too Soon: The Molecular Underpinnings of Preterm Birth in Indian Women​” at the Indian Society of Human Genetics, 2025, organized by NIMHANS, Bangalore on 22nd January, 2025.
Prof. Arindam Maitra participated in the Genomics Analysis & Technology Conference, (East Zone Chapter) on 24 August 2024 in Kolkata and delivered a special lecture on “Immune cell types and cell states in human disease and health – novel insights and new horizons."


Ph.D. student Supratim Ghosh received the 3rd Best Oral Presentation Award at the 2nd International Conference on Physiology to Pathology: Finding The Therapeutic Roadmap. His talk was titled "Genomic variations shaping cell-type-specific transcriptional landscapes in the healthy peripheral blood immune system: A pilot study".
Prof. Arindam Maitra participated in a two-day Genome Sequencing Workshop on “Bioeconomy from Bioresources: Exploring Genomic Recourses of NER” was organized at Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) at Imphal, Manipur, on 7th and 8th February 2024 by NIBMG.

Prof. Arindam Maitra delivered a mentor talk and participated in a panel discussion in the Regional Young Investigators' Meeting at Presidency University, Kolkata on 8th December 2023.

Ph.D. student Supratim Ghosh presented a poster entitled "Downregulation of cytotoxicity as well as upregulation of naive-cell-state-signatures and class switching is associated with cigarette smoking" at the Human Cell Atlas (HCA) Asia 2023.


Prof. Arindam Maitra participated in the Human Cell Atlas Asia Meeting held in Kolkata on 27 and 28 November, 2023. He presented on “Deciphering Birth Outcomes: From Genetic Underpinnings to Transcriptional Signatures”.
Ph.D. student Sumitava Roy delivered a talk entitled "Presence of Extensive Cell State Transitions within the Tumor Ecosystem of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma - Gingivo-Buccal (OSCC-GB)" at the HCA Asia Pre-Meeting Programme held in CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Biology TRUE Campus.


Ph.D. student Supratim Ghosh delivered an oral presentation on his work entitled "Investigating the effect of genomic variations in regulating cell-type-specific gene expression in healthy peripheral blood immune system" in the Pre-HCA Discussion Meeting on Single-Cell Research in India held at IICB-TRUE Campus.
Ph.D. student Esha Bhattacharjee presented her work at the 2023 Annual meeting of ASHG - American Society of Human Genetics held in Washington DC, USA from Nov 1-5. Her study focuses on the identification of the maternal genomic variants that influence preterm birth in Indian women.
She has received "Resource Limited Country Award" from American Society of Human Genetics which supported her to attend and present at the conference. The abstract also received "Reviewer's Choice" designation for being in the top 10% scored poster abstracts.


Prof. Arindam Maitra delivered an invited talk and chaired a session on 17th October in the 7th International Conference on Translational Research, Innovation in Translational Research: Transforming Tomorrow” at AIIMS, New Delhi, India from 16th-18th October, 2023.​
He talked on "Identification of Maternal Genotypes and DNA Methylation Marks Associated with Spontaneous Preterm Delivery in Indian Women Using Genome-Wide Study."
